CLAUDIO LOTITO:" I WILL BUILD A BETTER TEAM..."


According to lazioland.com, La Repubblica have said that Claudio Lotito is focused on the market and building towards a brighter future for Lazio. "I will create a stronger team. It will be a great Lazio, comparable to other great sides both domestically and internationally. The fans can be proud of this team."

Negotiations for Lichtsteiner are believed to be taking place at present. The price tag has been lowered to 10.5 million according to various reports from the Italian media. The agent of Abdoulaye Konko has also admitted that a deal is in place for the French right-back to go to Lazio but there was also clarification that the player has yet to speak with the Romans.

In other news today, Cagliari wantaway goalkeeper Federico Marchetti confirmed that he is interested in a move to Lazio. A deal for Lichtsteiner would give Claudio Lotito enough money to initiate Marchetti's buyout clause.

Riccardo Montolivo of Fiorentina and Brescia duo Hetemaj and Kone have also been linked with moves to Rome. Meanwhile Toronto FC are looking at Makinwa while Newell's Old Boys have declared an interest in Lionel Scaloni.
