Many players of Lazio have to struggling for their injuries all season long. Following the news that Lazio fans are unlikely to see Klose or Lulic again this season, shockwaves are going through Formello today as they are joined by Brocchi and Hernanes.

As confirmed on the official website of Lazio, "The medical staff confirms that Cristian Brocchi have undergone a test with Prof. Muller Wohlfahrt at the MW Zentrum clinic in Germany. Wohlfahrt have recommended a long break for Brocchi, around three months before he is fully fit again."

Then, Hernanes had tests several days ago which have confirmed a first-to-second degree injury in the left thigh which will leave him out for a month and a half therefore missing the last 5 games. MAINTAIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE POSITION

SERIE A 2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 35
UDINESE VS LAZIO

Lazio, again will face another hard clash to maintain their position on the Champions League position. This time, Lazio will go to Friuli Stadium to face the home team, Udinese. This match I think will be interesting, because both of the teams are having unstable performances in recent weeks.

Lazio have been struggling on the road, nine losses in nine away games in 2012, while Udinese seem to have lost everything of the form that kept them running fast until the winter break. Udinese have struggled worse than Lazio during the recent weeks. Others teams like Napoli and Inter, even Roma Merda in the run for third have been far from convincing though, having left Udinese with a good chance to grab the third despite only one win in March and April. Only three points gap separate the two teams at the moment.

Lazio still can breathe easier after a draw result between Roma Merda and Napoli last night. With only one point for each team, Lazio still on the third position. But, if Lazio having lost tonight, their position would be threatened by Napoli and Inter in the next week. If Lazio want to maintain the third position, Lazio have to collect some points in Friuli.

So, who will be the winner for this tonight match? Let we see tonight!!
For Indonesian viewers, you can watch this match on Indosiar channel, 01.30 WIB

ANOTHER LOST...

Another tragic lost again faced by Lazio. Went away to Novara, Lazio lost 1-2 from the home team. Diakite made an own goal in this match. While the sole goal of Lazio scored by Antonio Candreva. Giuseppe Mascara scored the victory goal of the home team.

Well, Lazio was lost, but I have a special note for Candreva. After became a controversial player in Lazio, finally he start to perform good play in recent weeks. Grazie Candreva!!

VICTORY DISPERSED IN THE LAST MINUTES

SERIE A 2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 34
LAZIO 1 VS LECCE 1

Again, Lazio got a dissapoint result. Against Lecce in their own home, Lazio only got one point. One goal for each team scored in the last minutes. Lazio took the lead first when Francelino Matuzalem scored the first goal, but Valeri Bojinov dispersed the Lazio's victory after he also scored a goal in the last seconds of the match!!

THREE POINTS NEEDED TONIGHT!!

SERIE A 2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 34
LAZIO VS LECCE

After a two week rest due to the tragic death of Morosini and the postponement of last week’s round it is now time to get back to the race for third spot. Lazio will be the home team for Lecce, a team that has struggled all season but managed to get back to winning ways in recent matches.

Lazio are third from the top, while Lecce are third from the bottom and 20 points separate the two teams. Looking at the current form however, Lecce look like the superior team with nine points out of the last five matches. Lazio, on the other hand, have lost three consecutive away games, securing the six points collected from the two home games in the last five fixtures.

In the end of season, Lazio still face the problems of injury of their players. Miroslav Klose, still struggle from his injury, while Christian Brocchi will not play again this season because his injury. Radu and Konko are in doubt ahead of every game. Lulic was ruled out of training for the coming 15 days.

Lazio really need three points from this game as Napoli managed to win over Novara last night. Lazio also got a threat from Udinese if they can win the matchday tonight. While Lazio can rely on Juventus to knock down Roma Merda. With this condition, full point is a must for Lazio if they still want to hold on the third position.

Coach Edy Reja already announced the list of players called up for the match against Lecce: Berardi, Bizzarri, Marchetti; Biava, Diakitè, Dias, Garrido, Scaloni, Zauri; Cana, Candreva, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Ledesma, Matuzalem; Alfaro, Rocchi, Zampa, Rozzi.

EDERSON NEAR TO LAZIO??

Ederson have been linked to Lazio every mercato for years now and it does seem like this summer it will finally happen. The player had a contract set to expire and Claudio Lotito have supposedly already offered him a contract.

Rumours tell that Ederson is now looking for a house near Formello and in not long Lazio can hopefully finally confirm the deal.

AFTER TRAGEDY IN PESCARA, ITALIAN LEAGUE POSTPONED THIS WEEK

There is no Serie A and B that would be held this week. FIGC postpone all competition matches after the Livorno player died, Piermario Morosini.

Italian football again in mourning. Not long ago, the public Italian courtier Mirko Fersini Lazio youth team who died after a week coma, now Morosini is following the passed away Fersini.

The incident occurred when the matches between Pescara and Livorno into 31 minutes. The medical staff was working hard to save the life of Morosini. However, the 25 years old player can not be helped anymore when arriving at a local hospital.

To honor the departure of Morosini, FIGC suspend all Serie A and B matches this weekend, include Lazio versus Novara and the other matches. Rest In Peace, Morosini...

RIP MIRKO FERSINI

REST IN PEACE, MIRKO FERSINI...

After a tragic scooter accident, the heart of young Lazio player Mirko Fersini stopped beating. After struggled for about five days from his coma, finally Mirko passed away. After Mirkos' death, his family have given permission to donate his organs.

Lazio with president Claudio Lotito, the players and all the staff grief together with Mirko's family in this sad time, and flags have been lowered to half-mast at Formello today.

Fersini is a young team that handled by the former Lazio striker Simone Inzaghi. Fersini hit a large trash bin made of iron. Tragically, the helmet that had been used by the young player apart from his head and finally hit the trash bin hardly.

THE MIRACLE DIDN'T COME...

 SERIE A 2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 32
JUVENTUS 2 VS LAZIO 1

Juventus: Buffon, Lichsteiner, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Vidal (80’ Giacherrini), Pirlo, Marchisio, Pepe (72’ Matri), Quagliarella, Vucinic (72’ Del Piero).

Lazio: Marchetti, Scaloni, Diakite, Biava, Garrido, Cana, Ledesma, Gonzalez (81’ Brocchi), Mauri  (72’ Hernanes), Candreva, Rocchi (74’ Kozak).

As I could tell before in the last article, Lazio indeed need a miracle to win the match against Juventus. You know that Lazio have been unstable for several matches before, while Juventus is an unbeatable giant in Serie A until now.

In a game where Lazio scored on the only dangerous attempt over 90 minutes, and with the Old Lady attacking over and over again it would be a quite nice match that Lazio can bring 1 point from Turin. It was a one sided game, where Juventus attacked, and Lazio tried to defend. When Lazio succeed to keep the Marchetti's goal clear from the start of the second half until the minute 80's, I think the match would be ended with draw result, but the veteran Alessandro Del Piero scored from a  free kick eight minutes from time sealed the victory for Juventus.

Stefano Mauri scored the only goal for the guest team in the end of the first half through his header. Believe or not, it was the first shot on goal for Lazio in this match. T_T ... Lazio finally really get lost of their hope when Libor Kozak sent off after receive the second yellow card in the last minutes of this match.

But, there was a lucky for Lazio where the rivals also got the same results. Both Udinese and Napoli got lost in this matchday. So, Lazio is still on the third position and Udinese on the fourth while Roma Merda increased their position on to the fifth.

ANOTHER HARD CLASH FOR LAZIO

SERIE A 2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 32
JUVENTUS VS LAZIO

Tonight, Lazio will face another hard clash in the matchday 32 of Serie A. Juventus, the capolista of the week will be the next opponent for Lazio. Then, tonight's match betweeb the teams will be a bigmatch of the week in Serie A

Both of the team are having an interest each other. Lazio, of course need to hold on the third position of the table. With the threat of Udinese and Napoli behind, Lazio have to gain positive results in the remaining matches until the end of the season. While Juventus need to hold the capolista position and widen the gap from the second position, Milan.

Juventus come into the game still unbeaten in the domestic league, with an impressive ten wins and five draws at home, while Lazio having been delivering highs and lows recently with two wins and three losses in the last five games. Tonight's match will bring two teams with different fates. Juventus with their powerful domination, while Lazio with their still unstable performance.

I've read an article on the lazioland.com written by Khashayar Kashefi, "If Lazio have planned to break the Juventus dominance and give Milan a hand in the run for the scudetto, as well as manifesting the third spot and Champions League qualification for the Aquile, a perfect game is needed and the Lazio fans will be hoping for a little miracle at Juventus Stadium." Well, I someone agree with this opinion.

Possible lineups:

Juventus: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, De Ceglie, Quagliarella, Vucinic.
Lazio: Marchetti, Konko, Diakite, Biava, Radu, Cana, Ledesma, Candreva, Hernanes, Mauri, Rocchi.

A STEP FORWARD TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

SERIE A 2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 31
LAZIO 3 VS NAPOLI 1

Lazio: Marchetti, Konko, Diakite, Biava, Radu, Cana (80' Brocchi), Ledesma, Candreva (90' Scaloni), Hernanes (46' Gonzalez), Mauri, Rocchi.

Napoli: De Sanctis, Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Britos, Aronica (73' Dossena), Dzemaili, Inler, Hamsik, Pandev (79' Vargas), Lavezzi, Cavani.

Amazing night at Stadio Olimpico last weekend, with a quite large crowd in curva nord that recalled the Lazio' legend Giorgio Chinaglia who have just passed away earlier in the week. The match started as the players walked out with black arm bands, with a ’74 shirt and number nine on the back, on one of the seats on the bench.

The match has started better for Lazio, when Antonio Candreva took astounding shot from a narrow angle, but Napoli's goalkeeper De Sanctis couldn't manage to cacth the ball. The controversial player, a self confessed romanista who has been playing for Lazio since the winter mercato, finally scored his first goal for Lazio in the ninth minute of the game. After he scored the goal, he ran to the Curva Nord and it seemed that the player was looking for some recognition and to be embraced by the Laziale after scorned oftenly since the first game played. And when Candreva finally was substituted in the last minute of the match he was met with ovations from the Laziale. I think finally he got what he wants. ^_^

Another amazing event happened again through Stefano Mauri action. In the second half, Mauri scored astounding goal through a bicycle kick. In minute 68, Stefan Radu came around the left side and sent an amazing cross to the center, and with the Napoli players forgetting to cover Mauri, the most spectacular goal was scored through a magnificent volley that left De Sanctis with no chance.

The third goal created from a penalty spot by Cristian Ledesma. Lazio had  given a penalty after Miguel Britos fouled the captain Tommoaso Rocchi inside the area. A penalty goal from Ledesma has completed the victory of Lazio in that amazing night!

Lazio finally succeed to hold the third position this week after this victory. Lazio now have 6 points gap with Napoli. But, Udinese still become a serious threat on the fourth position. This week, they also had a victory against Parma, an opponent that succeed to take down Lazio in their home in the previous week. Next week, Lazio will play a midweek match against Juventus. This match would kind of difficult, but I think Edy Reja's men can prove that they have capability to fly fly high!! Vola Lazio Vola!!

HARD CLASH FOR LAZIO THIS WEEK

 SERIE A  2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 31
LAZIO VS NAPOLI

This week, Serie A Italia will hold a match between Lazio against Napoli. May people believe that the winner of this match will spave the way to gai a Champions League ticket for next season.

But, there are some problems both with Lazio and Napoli. The coaches of both teams must scratch their brains harder to be able to determine the best formation. This is due to the injuries remains between the two teams.

Napoli are missing Zuniga and Gargano are suspended, while Maggio, Campagnaro and Dossena are major doubts. However this is a situation Lazio have been in all season. Andre Dias definately misses the game following his injury against Parma which may see him out for up to 3 weeks. Lulic is in recovery as is Klose, who returned last night from a medical centre in Munich. Matuzalem is looking likely to miss the match . The Brazilian has pain in his calf muscles and had to partake in light training. Meanwhile in defense, time is ticking for Radu. He spent training doing underwater exercises and is still feeling the recurrent pain in his right knee. The defense Reja may be forced to deploy is Scaloni, Diakite, Biava and Konko. Brocchi or Cana are in pole to replace Matuzalem while the definates are Ledesma, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Mauri all behind captain Rocchi.

So, I mention this match is a match of two teams who are "sick" right now. Who will be the winner? Well, I hope it will be Lazio!!

REST IN PEACE, GIORGIO CHINAGLIA

A sad news came through from United States. The news reports that one of Lazio legend Giorgio Chinaglia has passed away in Florida at the age of 65 of complications from a heart attack.

Giorgio Chinaglia was born in Carrara, Tuscany in 1947, but in 1955, he moved to Cardiff, Wales with his parents, because of unemployment in Italy following World War II. When he was 13 years old, by which time his father had bought an Italian restaurant in Cardiff, Chinaglia was spotted scoring a hat trick for Cardiff Schools, and joined Swansea Town in the Football League Third Division in 1962.

While with Lazio from 1969-1976, Chinaglia scored 98 goals in 209 matches, and helped Lazio win its first Italian title (Scudetto) in 1974, and later became one of Lazio's president. The player also represented Italy in the 1974 World Cup.

Then in 1976, he moved to United States and joined the Cosmos and played alongside Pele and Franz Beckenbauer. Chinaglia was the all-time leading scorer in the North American Soccer League. He scored 262 goals in his eight seasons with the Cosmos. He became a naturalized US citizen in 1979 and was inducted into the Soccer Hall of Fame in 2000.

For all you have done for Lazio, we would grateful to you. Thank you, Giorgio. Rest In Peace.

Lazio had suffered their ninth lost last week when they went to Ennio Tardini against Parma. More tragically, two goals of Parma had scored by Sergio Floccari, Lazio ex-player.
