TOMMASO ROCCHI MOVED TO INTER, MATUZALEM LOANED TO GENOAmATUZALEM

MATUZALEM AND ROCCHI

Our two players had left us to the other teams in this January. Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of our captain, Tommaso Rocchi. The striker, who has played just three games for the biancocelesti this season, will join Inter on a three-year deal, until the end of June.

Rocchi, aged 35, has been with Lazio since 2004, scoring 82 goals for the club. Last season, under Edy Reja, he had 22 starts and five substitute appearances, scoring just six goals in the process. The new coach Vladimir Petković, however, has taken little shine to the veteran, preferring instead to start another elder, German bomber  Miroslav Klose.

Apparently, however, the nerazzurri believe that Rocchi is the solution to their troubles up front. Inter haven't done too badly this season, scoring 30 goals thus far. But should Diego Milito, who has eight, or Antonio Cassano, with five, go down with injury, Inter's European dreams could be shattered.

While Francelino Matuzalem has officially completed his move from Lazio to Genoa on loan with an option to buy. The Brazilian midfielder had already been training with Genoa for the last few days, but the transfer was only formalised this evening.

A statement on both club websites confirmed the deal is a six-month loan with option to buy at the end of the season. Matuzalem had not played for Lazio this season due to a contract dispute.

THE LAUNCHING OF LAZIO'S NEW JERSEY

Finally, the new sponsor Macron had released the new jersey of Lazio to be used in next season. The main jersey is still featuring the main colour of Lazio, blue sky with white based pants. While the goalkeepers will keep in greeny jersey for next season.

The away jersey is the opposite of the main one. A fully white based costume and with blue sky pants. The second away jersey is featuring a fully dark black colour. And, here are some pictures when Lazio's players and Macron released the new jersey. I have taken them from the official Lazio fanpage on Facebook.

HARD CLASH FOR LAZIO THIS WEEK

 SERIE A  2011 / 2012 MATCHDAY 31
LAZIO VS NAPOLI

This week, Serie A Italia will hold a match between Lazio against Napoli. May people believe that the winner of this match will spave the way to gai a Champions League ticket for next season.

But, there are some problems both with Lazio and Napoli. The coaches of both teams must scratch their brains harder to be able to determine the best formation. This is due to the injuries remains between the two teams.

Napoli are missing Zuniga and Gargano are suspended, while Maggio, Campagnaro and Dossena are major doubts. However this is a situation Lazio have been in all season. Andre Dias definately misses the game following his injury against Parma which may see him out for up to 3 weeks. Lulic is in recovery as is Klose, who returned last night from a medical centre in Munich. Matuzalem is looking likely to miss the match . The Brazilian has pain in his calf muscles and had to partake in light training. Meanwhile in defense, time is ticking for Radu. He spent training doing underwater exercises and is still feeling the recurrent pain in his right knee. The defense Reja may be forced to deploy is Scaloni, Diakite, Biava and Konko. Brocchi or Cana are in pole to replace Matuzalem while the definates are Ledesma, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Mauri all behind captain Rocchi.

So, I mention this match is a match of two teams who are "sick" right now. Who will be the winner? Well, I hope it will be Lazio!!

Three points in the Olimpico should be achieved with difficulty by Lazio. Lazio took great effort until the 85th minute to ensure three points above Cagliari at the Olimpico on Sunday (25/3) night. It was the single goal of defender Mobido Diakite that brought three full points to Lazio to strengthen the position of third in the Italian Serie A standings.

With the win, Lazio are now collecting 51 points, three points ahead of Napoli and Udinese until 29th giornata this season. As for Cagliari, the defeat could threaten their position to remain in the safe zone. Cagliari are now only able to sit in position 13.

Lazio has played pressing the guest team since the beginning of the game. Some opportunities come by Lopez' men, such as Tommaso Rocchi volley, shot from Cristian Ledesma and Stefano Mauri's header. But in the end, Diakite who could break the deadlock on 85 minutes with a header, maximizing the shipment Ledesma free kick. Antonio Candreva nearly increase the advantage if it does not kick curled on the crossbar.

KLOSE IS INJURY, OUT FOR A MONTH

There is a bad news!! Lazio have been hit by a news that Miroslav Klose's injury is as bad as expected and the German will be out for up to a month. The injury couldn't come at a worse time as Lazio are being pushed to the brink for the final Champions League slot. Klose is likely to miss key clashes with Napoli and Juventus.

Following the sales of Cisse and Sculli in winter mercato, Lazio will only have to depend on Tommaso Rocchi, Libor Kozak and the new boy Emilliano Alfaro upfront.
