LAZIO GOT BRUNO PEREIRINHA SIGN

Lazio have announced on their official club website that they have completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Bruno Pereirinha. They were working on the deal late into the night and it has been finalised after negotiations with the player were completed.

The 24-year-old is most comfortable wide on the right of midfield but is very similar to ex Biancoceleste star Stephan Lichtsteiner in that he can also operate at full-back too. He had been at Sporting since 2006 and has made 86 appearances during his time there as well as appearing on 19 occasions for the Portugal U21 international side.

Benvenuto Bruno!

CARRIZO SET TO INTERNAZIONALE IN THE SUMMER

Lazio third goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo set to leave Biancoceleste to Internazionale in the summer. The 28-year-old’s contract expires in the summer and Lazio have not offered him a contract extension, opening the door for Inter to sign the Argentine.

The Nerazzurri have been looking for a veteran goalkeeper to back up Samir Handanovic as Luca Castellazzi has had injury problems and Vid Belec is viewed as being too inexperienced for the role. The official announcement of the signing could come in February, after the closure of the current transfer window.

Carrizo is former first goalkeeper if Lazio. But, in his first season, he  could'nt get his best performance and finally Uruguayan goalkeeper Fernando Muslera took away the position from him.

THE RECORD HAS BEEN BROKEN

SERIE A 2012 / 2013 MATCHDAY 22
LAZIO 0 VS CHIEVO 1

Finally, Lazio's unbeaten run in last sixteen matches has ended by Chievo Verona, also in Olimpico, the home for Petkovic's men. As the home side, Lazio actually controlled the match, but too many chances that wasted by the Petkovic men. Alberto Paloschi scored a single goal to turn victory into Chievo side.

Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic insists that his side didn’t deserve their loss on Saturday against Chievo. The Biancoceleste had been unbeaten in 16 matches, including six straight home wins, but fell 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

“I’m convinced I made the right choices [in resting key players], because I needed everyone to give 100% today,” said Petkovic. “It was a game we didn’t deserve to lose. Chievo capitalized on their only scoring opportunity and we wasted too many of ours.

“After so many positive matches, it was bound to happen that we’d have a bad day against a difficult opponent. All that counts is that the team believes and is ready to begin another run.”

With that defeat, Lazio slip down to third for the moment behind Napoli, who play on Sunday, they’re both six back of league leaders Juventus.

ZARATE OFFERED BY SUNDERLAND

Another news about Mauro Zarate. Premiere League club, Sunderland have been reported to loan Zarate from Lazio with the right to buy at the end of loan period at €8 million. Actually, Dynamo Kiev interested with Zarate and wanted to bring him to Kiev with €10 million price tag, but Zarate refused it.

Since Edy Reja era, he has been started to be unused by the coach. Now, in Petkovic era, he has been treated in same way.

LUCIANO ZAURI SAVED A GIRL FROM WELL IN ROME

Reported by Forza Italian Football, Lazio's wing back player Luciano Zauri has saved former Juventus star, Zbigniew Boniek’s granddaughter from a well in Rome.

The seven-year-old girl fell into the well on Sunday night and was rescued by Zauri. According to La Repubblica, Zauri was lowered into the four metre deep hole to rescue the girl, who was then taken to hospital. She only suffered minor bruising and scratches.

LAZIO MAKE BID FOR VERONA'S JORGINHO

As reported by Forza Italian Football, Lazio have make an offer to Brazillian Jorginho who plays with Hellas Verona in Serie B this season.

Jorgnho has been in good form this season with 21 appearances in Serie B. The 21 years midfielder has been offered €4 million by Lazio, but Verona are said to want a figure closer to €7 million.

DRAW WITH THE OLD LADY IN FIRST LEG!!

COPPA ITALIA 2012 / 2013 SEMIFINAL FIRST LEG
JUVENTUS 1 VS LAZIO 1

Juventus (3-5-1-1): Storari; Barzagli, Marrone, Bonucci; Isla, Vidal, Pogba, Marchisio, Peluso; Giaccherini; Matri.

Lazio (3-5-1-1): Marchetti; Biava, Cana, Ciani; Cavanda, Gonzalez, Ledesma, Hernanes, Lulic; Mauri; Floccari.

Lazio continued the unbeaten run in all competition after they held Juventus in first leg semifinal of Coppa Italia last night. Juventus lead first, but Lazio managed to equalize the score in last minutes of the match. With the addition of this draw result, Lazio stretch their unbeaten run into sixteen matches in all competition.

The match was really tight. Juventus, as the home team got more chances to create a goal. Several chances came from Giaccherini, Marrone, Matri and Vidal, but the result was nothing in the first half. Federico Marchetti performed some brilliant saves. The only reason that Juventus didn't get many of goal was because Marchetti is standing in front of Lazio's goal last night.

Both team scored a goal in the second half. Juventus scored it in minute 63 through Pelusso header. Then, Il Capitano Stefano Mauri became the equalizer to save Lazio from the first lost in last sixteen matches. He scored the goal three minutes before the match ended. Grazie Mauri!!

With this result, Lazio have the away goal advantage before the second leg will be held in Rome. Lazio only need to get goalless draw result to advance through the final round. But, of course I hope Lazio will be get better result in the second leg.

Come on Lazio! Take the ticket into the final of Coppa Italia this season! Forza Lazio!!

PETKOVIC SATISFIED ENOUGH WITH DRAW RESULT AT RENZO BARBERA

SERIE A 2012 / 2013 MATCHDAY 21
PALERMO 2 VS LAZIO 2

Palermo: Ujkani; Von Bergen, Aronica, (Munoz 46) Garcia; Morganella, (Anselmo 65) Arevalo Rios, Kurtic, Dossena; Ilicic; (Malele 79) Dybala, Miccoli

Lazio: Marchetti; Biava, Cana, Ciani; Radu, (Candreva 73) Cavanda, Ledesma, (Kozak 80) Hernanes, Lulic; (Gonzalez 68) Mauri; Floccari

Lazio's move in Italian Serie A race held by Sicilian squad Palermo last night. With several key players that didn't play such as Miroslav Klose, Antonio Candreva, Alvaro Gonzalez, Abdoulay Konko and Andre Dias, Lazio had tied score against Gasperini's men at Renzo Barbera Stadium.

Actually, Lazio lead first in the first half as Sergio Floccari scored his second goal in Serie A this season through amazing header. Cristian Ledesma sent a briliant cross to the Palermo's penalty box, then Floccari simply placed the ball to the unreachable position of Palermo's goalkeeper Samir Ujkani.

But, in the second half Lazio shocked by two goals of Palermo in only two minutes through Arevalo Rios and Paulo Dybala. It turned the lead into the Palermo side. Luckily, Lazio got a penalty gift from the referee after Sergio Floccari had been taken down by Palermo's defender. Hernanes took the penalty chance well to equalize the score.

This is not really good result for Lazio in effort to chase Juventus on the top position of classification. The gap is now increase to five points after Juventus won the clash against Udinese last night. But, the positive thing is Lazio succeed to stretch the unbeaten run to 15 matches in all competition this season.

While Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic said that he satisfied enough with this result, "At the end, the draw result is fair enough. Both teams are proper to win and lose in this match. The main problem is we were too defended in playing and failed to play the desireable tactic."

Now, Lazio have to focus to semifinal of Coppa Italia match against Juventus on Tuesday. Miroslav Klose and Abdoulay Konko are expected to be fit enough to play in that match. Andre Dias and Alvaro Gonzalez seems to be filled their position again after they had been only sat on the bench against Palermo last night.

Come on eagles!! Struggle to the final of Coppa Italia and give laziale trophies this season! FORZA LAZIO!!

Lazio have been approaching the top classification of Serie A. In this week, Lazio defeated ten men Atalanta in Olimpico. Three points were collected to approach Juventus on the top classification. In the same matchday, Juventus only got draw result against Parma.

Lazio's first goal scored by the supersub Sergio Floccari in minute 68. It needed more than an hour to score the opening goal for the Petkovic's men. While Davide Brivio's own goal doubled Biancoceleste victory. After that, Atalanta's Carlos Carmona has been sent off by the referee.

With this result, Lazio's gap with Juventus are only three points behind. Lazio have now strechted their unbeaten run in 14 games in all competitions so far. TOMMASO ROCCHI MOVED TO INTER, MATUZALEM LOANED TO GENOAmATUZALEM

MATUZALEM AND ROCCHI

Our two players had left us to the other teams in this January. Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of our captain, Tommaso Rocchi. The striker, who has played just three games for the biancocelesti this season, will join Inter on a three-year deal, until the end of June.

Rocchi, aged 35, has been with Lazio since 2004, scoring 82 goals for the club. Last season, under Edy Reja, he had 22 starts and five substitute appearances, scoring just six goals in the process. The new coach Vladimir Petković, however, has taken little shine to the veteran, preferring instead to start another elder, German bomber  Miroslav Klose.

Apparently, however, the nerazzurri believe that Rocchi is the solution to their troubles up front. Inter haven't done too badly this season, scoring 30 goals thus far. But should Diego Milito, who has eight, or Antonio Cassano, with five, go down with injury, Inter's European dreams could be shattered.

While Francelino Matuzalem has officially completed his move from Lazio to Genoa on loan with an option to buy. The Brazilian midfielder had already been training with Genoa for the last few days, but the transfer was only formalised this evening.

A statement on both club websites confirmed the deal is a six-month loan with option to buy at the end of the season. Matuzalem had not played for Lazio this season due to a contract dispute.

Hello everybody! There is a good news from our beloved team, I Biancoceleste. Last night, Lazio won the clash over Cagliari in Olimpico Rome after Christmas and New Year Holiday. The home team came from behind after Cagliari played with only nine men.

Lazio shocked by Marco Sau's goal in minute 62. After the goal, Petkovic pursued a strategy of attacking by playing Floccari to accompanied Klose on the Lazio's frontline. But, the expected goals were not coming from the frontliners.

It was Abdoulay Konko who levelled the score in minute 79, then finally Antonio Candreva became the hero after scored the victory goal from penalty spot. In this game, Cagliari's Agazzi and Cossu were sent off by the referee.
