Lazio In Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Winning Eleven 10 in Japan and Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 in the USA) was officially released in the UK on October 27, 2006 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360 and PC platforms and on February 9, 2007 for the Nintendo DS. The PC version does not utilize the Xbox 360 engine but is a conversion of the PS2 edition. The PSP version is similar in many ways to its PS2 brother, while the DS version has graphics and gameplay reminiscent of the older PES series on the original PlayStation.

A criticism of the previous version was that the game was too unforgiving and so suppressed fluid attacking football. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 was issued with more tricks and an overall more attacking mentality, but whether it does make it easier to take on defenders and get forward is debatable.
More licenses were added, including fully licensed international kits including the nations England, Spain and Italy to name a few (as well as the ever present Japan license). The French Ligue 1 is now included as fully licensed league, as well as the Spanish, Italian and Dutch leagues, plus several other individual clubs. However, the Chelsea FC. license from PES 5 was removed and, due to a lawsuit, Konami were forced to drop the Bundesliga license. The only Bundesliga team to appear in the game is FC Bayern Muenchen. The game had not updated Arsenal's venue to the Emirates stadium; the defunct Highbury is still present. The same applies for Bayern München, who, despite having moved to the Allianz Arena, are still represented in the game as playing at Munich’s Olympic Stadium. Also, the recent extensions to Old Trafford are not included, while Serbia and Montenegro are still present despite the dissolution of the country in May 2006, this being due to the disestablished state competing at the recent World Cup. All teams which competed at the World Cup featured their 23 man squads from the tournament, including those who retired from international football (e.g. Philip Cocu of the Netherlands) and from the game altogether (e.g. Zinedine Zidane of France), although club teams were fairly up to date.
The Xbox 360 version features next-generation, Hi-Definition graphics and more animations, but gameplay similar to the other console versions, according to a recent interview with Seabass. The Xbox 360 version also finally introduces the Pro Evolution series to widescreen gaming, a feature that was sorely missing from the PS2 and Xbox versions of the game. Much of the gameplay and editing options were severely stripped down for the 360 release.

This is the default composition of Lazio’s players in the Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007:
• GK. Angelo Peruzzi
• CB. Sebastiano Siviglia
• CB. Sanchez Cribari
• RB. Massimo Oddo
• LB. Luciano Zauri
• DMF. Gaby Mudingayi
• DMF. Cristian Ledesma
• RMF. Valon Behrami
• LMF. Stefano Mauri
• SS. Tomasso Rocchi
• CF. Stephen Makinwa

Il capitano Massimo Oddo leads the team. I modified the starting lineup of Lazio into like this:
• GK. Angelo Peruzzi
• CB. Sebastiano Siviglia
• CB. Sanchez Cribari
• RB. Massimo Oddo
• LB. Luciano Zauri
• CMF. Gaby Mudingayi
• RMF. Valon Behrami
• LMF. Stefano Mauri
• AMF. Cristian Ledesma
• CF. Tomasso Rocchi
• CF. Goran Pandev
Not really different with the default actually, I only switch the position of Ledesma from Defensive Midfielder to Attacking Midfielder and replace Stephen Makinwa with Goran Pandev.

Lazio Defeated By Inter In San Siro

How unfortunate for Lazio. When the Edoardo Reja's squad had the positive trend in Serie A, they had to faced bad luck in 34th match of Serie A. Biancoceleste squad had to confessed Internazionale's lead in this game.
Eventhough Lazio could be the leader first through a goal created by Mauro Zarate from penalty kick, Lazio had to gained a loss after Inter reply Lazio's goal with two goals. The Dutchman Wesley Sneijder were the equalizer after he scored a goal from free kick in first half. Then, Samuel Eto'o scored the second goal of Inter in second half.
But, Lazio is still on the fourth position after Udinese had the same condition as Lazio.Udinese had gain nothing in this week after they had defeated by Parma in their own home.

Catania Destroyed By The Mighty Lazio

Fantastic match has occurred at Angelo Massimino Stadium in the 33rd week of Italian Serie A championship. Biancoceleste succeded to gain 3 points clear with fantastic score. They destroyed Catania with 4-1 winning score.

Edoardo Reja’s men open the score through Hernanes in minute 40 after received a heading pass from Stefano Mauri. Catania made an equalizer in early second half, but Lazio was acted wilder after that equalizing occurred. An exciting individual skill from Zarate showed up on the second goal of Lazio. Zarate succeded to send a pass to Mauri and he finished it into the Catania’s goal calmly. Sergio Floccari scored the third goal after received a lovely pass from Zarate (AGAIN…!!). Then finally the fourth goal created by Zarate himself after executed a free kick in front of Catania’s penalty box. Mauro Zarate is really the man of the match in this game!!

Lazio’s chance to end this season in Champions League zone had open wider after getting closer to Internazionale (3 points) and Napoli (5 points). Both of them has gained nothing in this week after defeated by their opponents. Intern beaten by Parma while Napoli defeated by Udinese. But, Lazio had still to stay aware with the threat from Udinese on the fifth position. The gap between Lazio and Udinese is only one point.

Lazio in Winning Eleven 8 International

This is the first version of Konami’s football game in PC that I’ve played. Season 2004-2005 became the setting of this game. Several classic players of Lazio is still registered in this game, such as Angelo Peruzzi, Giuseppe Pancaro, Giuseppe Favalli, Aparecido Cesar and many more. But unfortunately Il Capitano Alessandro Nesta had already moved to AC. Milan. His position replaced by Fernando Couto.
Anyway, this is the default composition of starting lineup of Lazio in Winning Eleven 8:
  • GK. Angelo Peruzzi
  • CB. Fernando couto
  • CB. Paolo Negro
  • RB. Massimo Oddo
  • LB. Giuseppe Pancaro
  • DMF. Giuliano Giannichedda
  • CMF. Fabio Liverani
  • LMF. Cristiano Zauri
  • OMF. Aparecido Cesar
  • CF. Simone Inzaghi
  • CF. Roberto Muzzi
In this game, Massimo Oddo takes the responsibility as a captain.

As you know, Angelo Peruzzi is the best choice to keep the goal line. Matteo Sereni is ready for backup him from the bench. Couto and Negro duet are filling the central defense, while Oddo and Pancaro are accompanying them on the wing, both right and left side.
Giannichedda’s function on the midfield is as a breaker, while Liverani keeps the balance between defending and attacking. If you not satisfied with Giannichedda’s performance you can try to play Ousmane Dabo as an alternative. Both of them have the same typical of play. Zauri will slice the opponent’s defending from the left side. Mauri will be the playmaker or second striker behind the duet of Simone Inzaghi and Roberto Muzzi.

Lazio Move To Big Four !

Lazio returned to the Champions League zone in Serie A this week after gained a victory 2-0 against Parma in Olimpico Stadium. After a hard struggle against Napoli in the previous week, Lazio finally succeded to rise in this 32nd week of Serie A.

Lazio also took full advantage of Udinese's defeat to Roma in the same week. I Biancoceleste opened the leading in the 23rd minute with a drive shoot from Hernanes. His teammate, Christian Brocchi did well to find the Brazilian international player who unleashed a powerful effort past the despairing Antonio Mirante, Parma goalkeeper. And finally, Lazio put the result without any doubt in the 77th minute when the forward player Sergio Floccari added the second goal with Parma having nothing to the Lazio's two goals.

Hard Struggle Against Napoli

Lazio had to confess about the mighty of Napoli in the 31st matchday of Serie A this season. After a hard struggle, Lazio has given up in Napoli's home with 3-4 final score.
Lazio had taken the lead from Napoli for twice. Two goals form Stefano Mauri and Andre Dias gave 2-0 for Lazio, but finally the situation got upside down after Edinson Cavani scored his hattrick in this match.
Lazio hold on the position 5 of classification of Serie A, while Napoli raise to the second position behind AC Milan with only 3 points gap.
