The latest edition of the best football game (according to me, of course... ^_^) finally had been released in last September for the PC version. I can't wait to write the review about Lazio in this game. In this game, we will enjoy Miroslav Klose and Djibril Cisse in Lazio's jersey!! I will also review about the master league mode and become a legend mode in this game. So, just wait the time and always visit Universe of Lazio... ^_^
PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 is here and will bring digital soccer to the next level. Central to the heart and soul of PES 2011 is the idea of freedom of play. This freedom invigorates the series with the most advanced set of gamplay improvements ever attempted by the Winning Eleven Production team, coupled with the greatest stride in new content.
The result will be a game that allows total control over every element of play - even online - to give the most lifelike soccer experience next to actually putting on a uniform and taking the field.
Features:
Total Control: PES Productions has enhanced the 360-degree passing ratio, offering unprecedented levels of control over every pass, shot, throw-in, through ball and lofted through balls. Users can pass the ball into space, and move their play with total freedom. Players must precisely weight their passes and second-guess the runs of their team-mates and exploit their movement. Players even can apply pressure on opponents to force them off the ball.
Shot & Stamina Gauge: In addition to the generic power gauge, the Shot & Stamina meter details the player's exact level of fitness. Constantly sprinting will have an adverse effect on performance and statistics.
New Defender AI: Defenders now hold their positions naturally, instead of chasing balls that enter their area and work to close down the attacker to force mistakes.
Animation and Player Physics: PES Productions has totally reworked every element of in-game animation. These additions will become clear before even kick-off, with the players ing fluid, natural movements, with more realistic acceleration and inertia than ever before. The physicality between players is also improved, which was a priority requested in PES forums. Jostling and blocking now looks stunning, while there is a larger variety of convincing tackling styles. Ambient animation also adds immensely to the in-game atmosphere, as players behave realistically when off the ball, and walk and run with a variety of individual styles.
Speed of Play:The new level of control means that PES 2011 is a more varied pace of play, which depends on the situation at hand. The game will burst into life as counter-attacks come into play, but players can dictate the pace via slow build up or exploiting available space to surge forward. It is harder to make long runs from midfield, and successful play will depend on making quick passes to create space.
Aesthetics: PES 2010 showcased the best likenesses in a football game, and PES 2011 ups the ante further. Facial animation has been enhanced, but the key advances are over 1000 all-new animations which have been recreated from the ground up using over 100 hours of motion captured footage yielding more organic runs, turns, throw-ins, tackles, and interaction.
Tactical and Strategy: The PES Productions team has implemented an all new 'Drag and Drop' mechanism that can be used in every aspect of team management. These settings are also animated to promote better understanding of the plays that have been altered.
Feint settings: PES has always offered a wide range of subtle skills, feints and turns, but PES 2011 allows users to
map their favourite move sequences to the right stick, making them more accessible than ever before.
Master League Online: PES 2011 will mark the online debut for its much-loved Master League element, with players bidding against each other for the world's best players, and attempting to build a squad that can compete with the best against online peers all over the globe.
One more thing, Konami added a new club championship license. After Konami succeeded to gain the licenses of Champions League and Europa League, this time, Copa Libertadores is playable in Pro Evolution Soccer 2011. You can play several football clubs from South American region. That’s quite interesting you know…!
Same as the previous versions of Pro Evolution Soccer game, Lazio is Included in Serie A League Teams. But, the composition of the player is not really updated. Hernanes and Javier Garrido is not joined by Konami to Lazio. Hernanes still registered in Sao Paolo and Garrido still with Manchester City. I move them manually to Lazio.
One thing I disappoint with this game is about the away jersey of Lazio. In reality, Lazio has two away jerseys. They are black shirt with black pant and black stripe and whiteshirt with white pant. But, in this game Konami made the away jersey of Lazio with green colored shirt and white pant.
Anyway, this is the default composition of starting lineup of Lazio in Pro Evolution Soccer 2011:
·GK. Fernando Muslera
·CB. Guglielmo Stendardo
·CB. Andre Dias
·CB. Stefan Radu
·DMF. Cristian Ledesma
·RMF. Stephan Lichtsteiner
·LMF. Simone Del Nero
·CMF. Christian Brocchi
·CMF. Stefano Mauri
·CF. Tomasso Rocchi
·CF. Sergio Floccari
Tomasso Rocchi still has the role as captain. When I try to test the ability of each player, I finally change the composition of that starting lineup like this:
·GK. Fernando Muslera
·CB. Giuseppe Biava /Guglielmo Stendardo
·CB. Andre Dias
·RB. Stephan Lichtsteiner
·LB. Stefan Radu
·DMF. Cristian Ledesma/Christian Brocchi
·RMF. Stefano Mauri
·LMF. Pasquale Foggia
·OMF. Hernanes
·SS. Mauro Zarate
·CF. Sergio Floccari
Muslera is the best choice for keeping the goal. For the centre back position, Lazio have three good defenders, Andre Dias, Giuseppe Biava and Guglielmo Stendardo. Lichtsteiner plays on the right side and Radu keeps the left side. When you get a chance from corner kick, you can direct the ball to Biava or Radu because when they have the chance, the can convert it into a goal with their headings.
To help the defending line you can count on Ledesma or Brocchi. Ledesma has good passing and can convert a free kick into a goal. While Brocchi has more speed and aggressiveness than Ledesma. I’ve tried to play Mauri on the right side because Foggia is more suitable to conquer the left side. Foggia has more speed and better dribbling than Mauri. If you disappoint with Mauri’s performance on the right side, you can try to play Alvaro Gonzales as an alternative.
For forward line, I think Mauro Zarate and Sergio Floccari is the best couple to strike against opponent defenders. For your information, in this game Floccari can be a dangerous finisher. He scores more goals than Zarate can score when I’m playing in Master League Mode. If you get stuck with this couple, you can count on Il Capitano Tommaso Rocchi. He has not good speed, but he is a very good finisher. And, don’t forget the Uruguayan young gun Gonzalo Barreto. He’s a quick player and has good development as same as Zarate in Master League Mode if you often to play him in many matches.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is the 9th edition in the series. The game has gone through a complete overhaul as it tries to compete with the FIFA series. PES 2010 has improved animations and 360-degree control was introduced, available on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game via the analog sticks on the respective controllers. PS3 owners benefited from this when using the DualShock’s D-Pad, but the Wii D-Pad is limited to eight-directional control and the Xbox 360 D-Pad to sixteen-directional control due to their hardwares. The A.I. was improved thanks to Teamvision 2.0. The referees were reworked to make better calls during matches.
It also features more licensed teams and players than ever before. After added Champions League license in PES 2009, Konami defend it in this new game. Even they add it with one new championship license, Europa League. Wow, a lot of improvement in this game.
Anyway, this is the default composition of starting lineup of Lazio in Pro Evolution Soccer 2010:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is the 8th edition in the series. Released on the 17th of October in Europe, featuring FC Barcelona and Argentine star Lionel Messi as its cover star (opposite Mexican midfielder Andres Guardado from Deportivo La Coruna in some versions).
While in some respects keeping the same structure of its predecessor, PES 2009 makes a large number of improvements, starting from the graphics, now better suited for High Definition image technologies. Also, the overall pace of the gameplay was slowed down, with a better AI for computer-controlled teammates as well: they will look for better passing spaces and goal routes.
A new addition of this game is the Become a Legend mode, which follows the entire career of a single player (as opposed to a whole team, like in the Master League) as he moves to better teams, achieves national team caps and wins MVP awards, like the Be a Pro mode introduced in FIFA 08. Even so, in the Japanese versions a similar mode called Fantasista was released in J-League Winning Eleven 2007 Club Championship, a special edition only for Japan, so Become a Legend was not entirely a new idea.
For the first time in Pro Evolution and Winning Eleven history, now you can also play UEFA Champions League directly from the main menu of this game. Konami had taken the official licensed from UEFA so you can see so many attributes of Champions League used freely in this game, including the intro movie and the theme song of Champions League.
Interestingly enough, this game has sponsored SS. Lazio once in real life, but just for one match(during a match against FC. Internazionale Milan), but the Lazio team's in-game kit does not feature the PES 2009 sponsorship.
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (Winning Eleven 9 in Japan and World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 in the US) was released in October 2005 and featured John Terry and Thierry Henry on the cover. The improvements are mainly tweaks to the gameplay engine, while online play finally made it to the PlayStation 2 version. The game was perceived as much harder by fans, with a very punishing defense AI making it harder to score. Some players have pointed out inconsistencies in the star difficulty rating, such as 3 star mode being harder to beat than 6 star due to its more defensive nature, but in general scoring is harder. Referees are very fussy over decisions, awarding free kicks for very negligible challenges.
There are various new club licenses present, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Celtic, Rangers and a few other European clubs, as well as the full Dutch, Spanish and Italian Leagues. Pro Evolution Soccer 5 was victim of the infamous empty stadium glitch, in which when playing a game, no crowds are present in the stands although they are present during cut-scenes. There are fan-made mods which address this in the PC version, although no official patch was released. Official PlayStation 2 Magazine UK gave it a perfect 10/10 score.
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 / Winning Eleven 9 was released for Xbox, Windows and PS2, all online enabled. A PSP version was released, but with stripped down features, such as no Master League, no commentary, only one stadium and limitations in the editor, due to the limitations to the UMD. The PSP version featured Wi-fi play, and the gameplay was faster and more “pin-ball like” in comparison to its console siblings, but it did not receive the same acclaim as the mainstream console/PC versions.
This is the default composition of starting lineup of Lazio in Winning Eleven 9:
• GK. Angelo Peruzzi
• CB. Sebastiano Siviglia
• CB. Lequi
• RB. Massimo Oddo
• LB. Luciano Zauri
• DMF. Ousmane Dabo
• DMF. Fabio Liverani
• RMF. Emmanuele Filipini
• LMF. Aparecido Cesar
• CF. Tomasso Rocchi
• CF. Paolo Di Canio
Well, you can see that there are some classic players of Lazio in this game. Cesar, Di Canio, Siviglia, Oddo, Dabo, Liverani and Filipini brothers(Antonio and Emmanuele) are several former Lazio players who had left Biancoceleste for the others club. In this default formation, Emmanuele Filipini had set by Konami to take the Right midfielder position, but, in reality that position is owned by his brother, Antonio. Emmanuele often played on the center position of midfield.
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Winning Eleven 10 in Japan and Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 in the USA) was officially released in the UK on October 27, 2006 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360 and PC platforms and on February 9, 2007 for the Nintendo DS. The PC version does not utilize the Xbox 360 engine but is a conversion of the PS2 edition. The PSP version is similar in many ways to its PS2 brother, while the DS version has graphics and gameplay reminiscent of the older PES series on the original PlayStation.
A criticism of the previous version was that the game was too unforgiving and so suppressed fluid attacking football. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 was issued with more tricks and an overall more attacking mentality, but whether it does make it easier to take on defenders and get forward is debatable.
More licenses were added, including fully licensed international kits including the nations England, Spain and Italy to name a few (as well as the ever present Japan license). The French Ligue 1 is now included as fully licensed league, as well as the Spanish, Italian and Dutch leagues, plus several other individual clubs. However, the Chelsea FC. license from PES 5 was removed and, due to a lawsuit, Konami were forced to drop the Bundesliga license. The only Bundesliga team to appear in the game is FC Bayern Muenchen. The game had not updated Arsenal's venue to the Emirates stadium; the defunct Highbury is still present. The same applies for Bayern München, who, despite having moved to the Allianz Arena, are still represented in the game as playing at Munich’s Olympic Stadium. Also, the recent extensions to Old Trafford are not included, while Serbia and Montenegro are still present despite the dissolution of the country in May 2006, this being due to the disestablished state competing at the recent World Cup. All teams which competed at the World Cup featured their 23 man squads from the tournament, including those who retired from international football (e.g. Philip Cocu of the Netherlands) and from the game altogether (e.g. Zinedine Zidane of France), although club teams were fairly up to date.
The Xbox 360 version features next-generation, Hi-Definition graphics and more animations, but gameplay similar to the other console versions, according to a recent interview with Seabass. The Xbox 360 version also finally introduces the Pro Evolution series to widescreen gaming, a feature that was sorely missing from the PS2 and Xbox versions of the game. Much of the gameplay and editing options were severely stripped down for the 360 release.
This is the default composition of Lazio’s players in the Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007:
• GK. Angelo Peruzzi
• CB. Sebastiano Siviglia
• CB. Sanchez Cribari
• RB. Massimo Oddo
• LB. Luciano Zauri
• DMF. Gaby Mudingayi
• DMF. Cristian Ledesma
• RMF. Valon Behrami
• LMF. Stefano Mauri
• SS. Tomasso Rocchi
• CF. Stephen Makinwa
Il capitano Massimo Oddo leads the team. I modified the starting lineup of Lazio into like this:
• GK. Angelo Peruzzi
• CB. Sebastiano Siviglia
• CB. Sanchez Cribari
• RB. Massimo Oddo
• LB. Luciano Zauri
• CMF. Gaby Mudingayi
• RMF. Valon Behrami
• LMF. Stefano Mauri
• AMF. Cristian Ledesma
• CF. Tomasso Rocchi
• CF. Goran Pandev
Not really different with the default actually, I only switch the position of Ledesma from Defensive Midfielder to Attacking Midfielder and replace Stephen Makinwa with Goran Pandev.
