HERNANES BROUGHT THE FIRST VICTORY IN SERIE A

Lazio had succeed to bring over the first victory of Serie A this season. Atalanta became the victim of Lazio's victory. Eventhough win with only one goal gap over the opponent, but this will become a spirit to the players to take the eagle fly fly away to the highest position in the sky.

Lazio took the lead in minute 17 after Hernanes scored his first goal in Serie A this season. Petkovic's men struggled with more speed, more power. Something that we never see them when Lazio was coached by Edy Reja.

MICHAEL CIANI SIGNED IN FOR LAZIO

The second newcomer player in Lazio of the season finally arrived. Looked so slow in the transfer market this summer, Lazio made a surprise for they fans. Michael Ciani, a french international player joined Lazio in the last week of summer transfer window.

Ciani had been transfered from french club Girondins Bordeaux and the details over the transfer has not been confirmed yet. "I am happy to go to Lazio, they are a great club. It is sad to leave Bordeaux as they are a great group of people but in the morning I leave for Rome. I don't know too much much about the club but I go on holiday to Rome and I love the city," said Ciani to the reporters. "We have quality players like Klose who had a great season. I know the environment in Rome and Lazio is very 'hot' so I want to do my best to make everyone happy."

LAZIO BEAT MURA 05

EUROPA LEAGUE 2012/2013 QUALIFICATION
MURA 05 0 VS LAZIO 2

Mura 05: Drakovic, Kramar (63’ Sres), Travner, janza, Horvat, Buseti, Vas, Marusko, Bohar (86’ Majer), Fajic, Eterovic (78’ Kouter).

Lazio: Marchetti, Konko,Biava, Dias, Cavanda, Onazi, Ledesma, Hernanes (60’ Lulic), Candreva, Klose 82’ Floccari), Mauri (71’ Zarate).

Lazio started this new season campaign with a nice result in Europa League championship. Petkovic's men had just been to Romania to face the Home team, Mura 05. After a few bad results occurred in the pre season games, this is the perfect time to prove how strong Lazio team this season.
Through the first half, Lazio dominated the game. But, the opening goal came in minute 30 after Hernanes sent a stunner that left Drakovic chanceless. Lazio played better in the second half as they can add another goal through the German international Miroslav Klose. The main striker of Lazio proved his sharpness in this beginning of the season.

The second leg will be played in Rome in a week, but between that Lazio will travel to Bergamo and face Atalanta in the opening week of Serie A. Petkovic once again should prove his capability to bring Lazio a good result in the beginning of this season.

PRE SEASON MATCH: LAZIO 2 VS MALMO 1

Before heading into a two-legged tie against Mura 05 in the qualifications for Europa League Lazio welcomed Malmö of Sweden to a close to empty Stadio Olimpico.

Actually, on paper Lazio should have gained a victory easily. But, the fact was different. Lazio only got two goals, all of them were come from penalty kick of Hernanes and Libor Kozak's chance in the last minute after took Zarate's corner.

Stefano Mauri tweeted on Twitter about this game; "Good game against Malmoe which boosts morale before the football that matters, which is about to begin." While the coach Petkovic said, "Lazio played well against Malmo and dominated the match".

In a week Lazio will travel to Maribor to kick off the season. Many question marks remain and even further have been added today. Like I say before, this team is kinda worrying to play around next season. Ederson is the only new man in this team. A free transfer man. Lazio is wandering the transfer market this sumnmer with empty result. Four lost in a row in friendly match and only gain victory over mediocre team are not good results for Lazio in this pre season time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VLADIMIR PETKOVIC!

Maybe it is quite late... But, Universe of Lazio wish to say Happy Birthday to our new coach, Vladimir Petkovic. We hope that He can bring Lazio to the top of the competitions next season.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VLADIMIR PETKOVIC!!

THE TEAM HAVE LAUNCHED!

Lazio have launched their squad last night before a friendly match against Getafe (Spain). There is no different with the previous season squad, except an addition of Ederson. Looks like Lazio is really really SLOW to move in transfer market this summer.

Well, with three losts in a row in friendly matches (against Galatasaray, Siena and Torino), what do you think about Lazio squad for this season? According to me, the squad will make me worry all season long...

PROFILE OF MURA 05, OPPONENT OF LAZIO IN EUROPA LEAGUE QUALIFICATION 2012/2013

As I informed before, Lazio will play against a Slovenian team Mura 05. Maybe many of you don't really know what team Mura 05 is, so I try to published the profile of the team.

ND Mura 05 are the successors of the now-bankrupt NK Mura from the town of small town of Murska Sobota in the north east of Slovenia, right near the border with Hungary. The region is most famous for having a dialect, Prekmurian, so different from either Slovenian or Hungarian that it is considered its own language, although it is only thought to now be spoken by a mere 80,000 people. So getting involved in the chants of the local crowd may prove to be a tricky affair.

They formed out of the ashes of the sadly skint NK, who played in the Slovenian PrvaLiga for many years, winning the national cup in 1995 after being the losing finalists the year before. And despite being the same club in all but name, when Mura 05 reformed in 2005, they had to start down the leagues, and current play in the second flight of Slovenian football, the 2. Slovenska Nogometna Liga.

They play at the smashing little Fazanerija ground, which can squeeze 5500 of their bonkers fans into its leafy surrounds. Their historically biggest game is what they call the Prekmurje Derby against their nearby rivals NK Nafta Lendava. sadly though Nafta play in the top flight of Slovenian football at the moment, so they've not had the chance to pit themselves against each other in a while. but you can be sure that when they finally do it'll be a fiercely fought affair.

LAZIO WILL FACE MURA 05 IN EUROPA LEAGUE

To get in to the group stages of the Europa League this season Lazio will have to beat Slovenian team  Mura 05. Mura was clearly the best team Lazio could have hoped for, and is perhaps the weakest team remaining in the competition.

The team formed back in 2005 is from the small town of Murska Sobota, but will have to play their European games in Maribor.

This is their first season competiting in Europe. In the first round they beat Baku 2-0 and managed a 0-0 draw away. Then they drew two times against CSKA Sofia and advanced on away goals. In the last round they lost 2-0 at home and 3-0 away against Arsenal Kiev but advanced after Kiev fielded a unregistered player.

Lazio will play Mura at the Olimpico on 23rd August and will play in Maribor on 30th August.

PRE SEASON MATCH: SALERNITANA 0 VS LAZIO 3

In a pre season match, Lazio played with Salernitana, the club who has been president Claudio Lotito's project for the last year. The game itself was perhaps not the most exciting, but with over 10.000 people and a packed Curva the atmosphere reminded us that the new season is just about to kick off.

SALERNITANA (4-2-3-1): Iannarilli; Chirieletti, Silvestri, Tuia, Luciani; Montervino; Gustavo, Ginestra, Mounard, Topouzis; Perpetuini

LAZIO (4-2-3-1): Marchetti; Scaloni, Biava, Dias, Cavanda; Ledesma, Cana; Candreva, Zarate, Lulic; Klose

Subs: Berardi, Bizzarri, Konko, Onazi, Gonzalez, Mauri, Rocchi, Floccari, Kozak

Goals: Ledesma ('10), Mauri ('53), Zarate ('59)

THE LAUNCHING OF LAZIO'S NEW JERSEY

Finally, the new sponsor Macron had released the new jersey of Lazio to be used in next season. The main jersey is still featuring the main colour of Lazio, blue sky with white based pants. While the goalkeepers will keep in greeny jersey for next season.

The away jersey is the opposite of the main one. A fully white based costume and with blue sky pants. The second away jersey is featuring a fully dark black colour. And, here are some pictures when Lazio's players and Macron released the new jersey. I have taken them from the official Lazio fanpage on Facebook.
