FRIENDLY MATCH: ARIS SALONIKI 0 VS LAZIO 2



After Saturday's 4-1 victory over Universitatea Cluj-Napoca, Lazio squad travelled on Sunday to Rieti to faced out another friendly match against the Greek club, Aris Saloniki.



A completely new different team from previous match was sent out by coach Edy Reja. This is the formation of Lazio: Albano Bizzarri; Luciano Zauri, Modibo Diakite, Andre Dias, Javier Garrido; Lorik Cana, Cristian Ledesma; Djibril Cissè, Stefano Mauri, Senad Lulic; Tomasso Rocchi.

In this match, Lazio took the lead In the 22th minute.  A perfect cross from Ledesma finds Mauri inside the box. Mauri sees Rocchi free at the back post, and a simple pass finds Rocchi's right foot for the first goal.




Djibril Cissé also scored one goal on that day, as 33rd minute a corner kick finds him at the first post jumping over everyone. His brilliant header beat all the Greek defenders to give Lazio a 2-0 lead into the end of the first half.




After 30 seconds the referee blew up the whistle to start the second half, the captain Tomasso Rocchi was brought down inside the penalty box, giving Lazio a chance of penalty kick. Cissé took the ball, but he failed to execute it, the shot was going over the goal to the sky. The scored 0-2 for Lazio still not changed until the match was ended.

After this match, Lazio will be back to Rome to get preparation for the next friendly match against another Spanish club, Real Sociedad tomorrow, August 11. Lazio had lost for twice against two Spanish club before. How about this time? Let we see tomorrow…!
