To
get in to the group stages of the Europa League this season Lazio will
have to beat Slovenian team Mura 05. Mura was clearly the best team
Lazio could have hoped for, and is perhaps the weakest team remaining in
the competition.
The team formed back in 2005 is from the small town of Murska Sobota, but will have to play their European games in Maribor.
This is their first season competiting in Europe. In the first round they beat Baku 2-0 and managed a 0-0 draw away. Then they drew two times against CSKA Sofia and advanced on away goals. In the last round they lost 2-0 at home and 3-0 away against Arsenal Kiev but advanced after Kiev fielded a unregistered player.
