LAZIO’S 2011/2012 SEASON JERSEY SPECULATION

When I was surfing in Internet for late 1 month, I found some speculation about Lazio’s next season jersey. It rumoured that Unicef logo will be on the chest side of the jersey. But for your information, Puma have not release any next season jersey for the teams they sponsored until this article is written. So, just  let’s wait and see about the truth of the rumour. Anyway, these are the speculation pictures.

LICHTSTEINER WILL LEAVE LAZIO THIS SUMMER?

Right back player Stephan Lichtsteiner shocked Laziale when he admitted that he wants to move to a bigger club last week. The Swiss defender has a 12 million Euro buy-out clause in his contract and both Manchester City and Juventus are willing to part with that amount to bring the player from Lazio this summer.
After previous season Lazio  have sold Aleksandr Kolarov in left back side, Lazio will miss out the player in the opposite side. After Kolarov leaved, Stefan Radu played good performance to replace Kolarov’s position. I hope eventhough Lichtsteiner will leave Lazio this summer, Lazio will find a better player to fill the position

CALCIOMERCATO SUMMER 2011

These are some news of Lazio about calciomercato this summer. The following news are compiled from some sources.

Lorik Cana
  • According to Turkish media, Medyaspor, an agreement has finally been reached between Lazio and Galatasaray for Lorik Cana. The midfielder has been linked to Lazio for several months and negotiations between the clubs has been ongoing. it seems that Lazio has struck a deal to bring Cana to Rome on loan with an option to buy for 5 million Euros.
  • Palermo President Zamparini responded to reports linking Pinilla to Lazio, "No, we will not give Pinilla away. He and Hernandez will be our strike force for next season." When he was asked whether Lotito's attempts could persuade him differently, Zamparini was firm, "Even if he offered me Hernanes in exchange, I would not accept."
  •  Brazilian giants Corinthians have rumoured to be in contact with Andre Dias' agent Rinaldi to start an effort to bring the Brazilian back home. This was the news that came out of Brazil yesterday. As reported in the Corriere Dello Sport, Rinaldi has been in contact for a contract renewal with Lazio to tie the defender to the club until 2013. However, would the call from Brazil tempt Dias?
  • Another Lazio’s player wanted in his home country is the right wing back Lionel Scaloni. Estudiantes want the player, but his future is still undecided.

LAZIO U-15 BECAME THE CHAMPION OF THE TORNEO SHALOM

I want to share some pictures of the young squad of Biancoceleste. They have succeded to become the champion of the Torneo Shalom which was held in previous month, April 2011. For your information, this team is coached by the former player of Lazio, Simone Inzaghi. Hmmm, good job Simone…!!

SERIE A TEAM OF THE SEASON 2010-11 ~GOAL.COM VERSION~

With the league calendar in Italy now complete, Goal.com presents the best Serie A XI of the campaign. It showed on that famous football site on May 24, 2011. One of Lazio’s player is in the list. Anderson Hernanes was being positioned as the best left midfielder of Serie A this season by goal.com. In his debut season, Hernanes succed to scored 11 goals and made up 5 assists to his friends.

The following is the list;
Formation: 4-3-3

Goalkeeper – Christian Abbiati (AC Milan)
Appearances: 35
Clean Sheets: 18

Milan were patient with him during his long injury absence in 2009 and this year they got their reward. With great command of his back four and his excellent judgement on crosses, the former Juventus man has earned himself the first choice slot for another term.

Right back – Ignazio Abate (AC Milan)
Appearances: 29
Goals/Assists: 0/1

Unconvincing under Leonardo but practically unstoppable this term, the former Torino man has grown into one of Italy's best full-backs. He has largely dealt superbly with the left-wing threat of opponents while himself providing a great outlet going forward.

Centre-back – Cristian Zapata (Udinese)
Appearances: 35
Goals/Assists: 2/1

After a poor 2009-10, the Colombian bounced straight back with a season to remember. With organisational abilities belying his 24 years, his anticipation and positioning helped an unsung Friulani defence more than play a part in the side's success.

Centre-back – Thiago Silva (AC Milan)
Appearances: 33
Goals/Assists: 1/1

Quite simply one of the best defenders in the world today - if not THE best. Awareness, anticipation, intelligence, power, pace, heart, aerial ability, two good feet, the Brazilian has it all and then some, and was much of the reason Milan marched to the title.

Left back – Federico Balzaretti (Palermo)
Appearances: 33
Goals/Assists: 2/7

Despite Palermo's defensive troubles, 'Balzac' had a fantastic personal campaign, with some wonderful contributions based on desire, awareness and bravery being posted in both defence and attack. His seven assists were a highlight as he made the Italy squad.

Right midfield – Alexis Sanchez (Udinese)
Appearances: 32
Goals/Assists: 12/12

One of Europe's hottest properties, the Chilean has had a real breakthrough year in helping Udinese into the top four. With pace to burn, excellent ball skills and deceptive upper-body strength, the young winger is set to take the Champions League by storm, whichever team it may be for.

Centre midfield – Kevin Prince Boateng (AC Milan)
Appearances: 26
Goals/Assists: 3/3

From an underwhelming signing to the star of the show, it's been quite a turnaround for the Ghanaian since his arrival at Milanello last summer. Made himself a key figure with performances laced with heart and belief in midfield and has even been used as a trequartista such has been his influence on the side's attacking play.

Left midfield – Anderson Hernanes (Lazio)
Appearances: 36
Goals/Assists: 11/5

Lazio may have just missed out on a prized Champions League spot but if one player of theirs deserved a place it was Hernanes. His trickery, movement, passing ability and wonderful left foot have made il Profeta one of the big draws around the peninsula this season and helped to keep his side in the race until the end.

Right forward – Edinson Cavani (Napoli)
Appearances: 35
Goals/Assists: 26/6

Cavani had a devastating impact at the San Paolo upon his arrival from Palermo last summer. After scoring in his opening three games things only got better as he added hat-tricks against Juventus, Sampdoria and Lazio on his way to 26 league goals, which formed the platform for Napoli's return to the Champions League.

Centre forward – Antonio Di Natale (Udinese)
Appearances: 33
Goals/Assists: 28/5

When you don't pass him the ball, he moans; when you do, he still moans. The standards Di Natale sets for himself and his side have led him to a second straight capocannoniere crown and a place in the Champions League. Despite bagging three trebles it's the brace v Lazio in week 37 which made all the difference.

Left forward – Samuel Eto'o (Inter)
Appearances: 35
Goals/Assists: 21/11

Rounding off our 75-goal front line is the exception that proved the rule at Inter this season. If anything, Eto'o was even better this term than he was last time around, bagging 35 goals in all competitions from the left sided role that Jose Mourinho assigned him during the triumphant 2009-10 campaign.

SUCCEED TO WIN, BUT FAILED TO REACH CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

This is the last fixture of Lazio in Serie A season 2010/2011. Lazio travelled to city of Lecce to faced the home team with a hope to get the last ticket to the qualification of Champions League next season. But only a victory is not quite enough to get it. They still hoped that Milan will able to win over Udinese.

So, the first mission of Edy Reja's boys is to get a victory against Lecce. In this game, Lazio got lead in early minute after Il Capitano Tomasso Rocchi scored the first goal in minute 7. But  after that Lecce player Manuel Coppola chipping the ball over Muslera, who was left stranded by a mistimed run against the ball, for an equalizer in minute 33. Two minutes later though, Mauro Zarate linked up beautifully with Tommaso Rocchi and the lively Argentinian pushed Lazio back in the lead.

Ignacio Piatti made the second equalizer in minute 41 and the score has changed 2-2. After that, Lazio have conquered the game. Their rampage started in minute 54 when Tomasso Rocchi is fouled by the Lecce goalkeeper. Then, Lazio given a penalty kick by the referee. This time, Mauro Zarate took the penalty kick well and made the score 3-2. And then, in minute 62 Giuseep Vives score an own goal into his team's net. It's the last goal of this game. Final score of this game is 4-2.
Meanwhile, in another fixture in Milan city, Milan only share a point with Udinese with no goal match. Then, with one point added in this last fixture, Udinese got the last ticket to the Champion League qualification next season.
With those results, Lazio took the fifth position in final classification of Serie A this season. Biancoceleste will take part in Europa League next season. "Unfortunate, I still think we had a good season." The words of Lazio captain Rocchi, who spent most of the season on the sidelines, firtsly due to tactical issues then a long injury. "We were in the Campions League league positions until the last round and it would have been nice to have made it. The season was still positive".

Rocchi returned from injury a few weeks ago and scored some decisive goals ensuring Lazio held onto 5th place. "I am happy for my return after injury, and am happy with my last performance. My future? I never thought of leaving Lazio, I have two years left on my contract. I think I've proved I can play and give my contribution to the team. I wish I had more space but it's up to me to prove it on the field".
Even Lazio failed to get the last ticket to the Champions League, but I am really sure that Laziales from all over the world proud with Lazio's rise this season. Good Job Biancoceleste! Fly higher in the next season!!

SERIE A LICENSE OF LAZIO WILL BE DISPUTED?

Lazio registered the stadium of Fiorentina Artemio Franchi as their home when playing in Europa championship, and that will make a dispute about their license to play in Serie A because it’s not suitable with FIGC rules.
Lazio registered Artemio Franchi because they still involved in $2,9 million debt to Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) for using the Olimpico stadium in Rome. But to get the UEFA license, a club can not have too many debts, and with using Artemio Franchi, Lazio hope that their debts to CONI will be deleted by UEFA. But, FIGC rule says that an Italian club only permitted to use stadium in other city in unusual condition.
Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito now has to find the solution about the debts to CONI in order to get the license to participate in Serie A next season.

AN ORGANISED CRIME FAMILY TRIED TO BUY LAZIO

This article is a repost from http://www.thespoiler.co.uk/. For a few days ago, accidentally i visited t hat site and found a surprising news about Lazio and the mafia family in Italy. This is the news;
A story is emerging today concerning a notorious crime gang - the Clan dei Caselesi - and their attempts to buy Lazio in 2006. Italian authorities claim that the family from the Camorra, the Naples version of the Mafia, tried to buy the club through a Hungarian pharmaceutical company using funds gained from violence, intimidation and lots of other naughty stuff:
[…] police in Rome made 10 arrests as part of an operation codenamed ‘Broken Wings’. The people being held are Italians and foreigners. In 2006, Lazio president Claudio Lotito was given police protection after receiving threats from ultras (club supporters group), who were allegedly trying to intimidate him into selling to a consortium led by former Lazio player and president Giorgio Chinaglia.
Chinaglia fled after being charged with market-rigging linked to his bid while Lotito has also faced similar charges over his handling of Lazio’s shares with another stakeholder. The cases are ongoing and the men deny wrongdoing.
Despite his outstanding arrest warrant, former Swansea and New York Cosmos striker Chinaglia is living somewhere in the USA, hosting The Football Show on satellite radio.
In the outbreak of this news, fans and analysts from around the world have been expressing their disbelief that such corruption could occur in a country like Italy.

EDY REJA’S AGENT WANTS A NEW CONTRACT WITH LAZIO

Edy Reja will not return to Napoli in the end of this season. He prefer to get a new deal with Lazio. That statement is spoken by his agent Marko Naletilic.
That statement appears to deny a rumour about Reja’s movement to Napoli in the future. But his agent add the statement that Lazio side have already start to negotiate with Reja about new contract. "Honestly, I really shock with some rumours that Reja will return to Napoli," the agent spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss.”So far, there is no contact with other club. He is fine in Lazio and instead he wants to renew his contract in order to stay longer in Formello."
"I never talk to him about Napoli. And so does he", the agent adds. “This renewal is just a formality. Lazio and Reja already have same vision about Lazio in the future.

THE LAST FIXTURE!! JUGDEMENT DAY FOR LAZIO!!

The last fixture tonight will present an exciting match between the home team Lecce versus Lazio. It is like a final match for Biancoceleste. They have to gain victory over Lecce to keep their chance for getting a ticket into Champions League next season. But not only that, if they can success to win over Lecce, Lazio still hope that Udinese as their rival will lost against Milan in the same time. If Milan can win over Udinese and Lazio win over Lecce, then the classisication of Serie A for fourth position will change with only one point gap.

Former Lazio Captain and current Milan player, Massimo Oddo, spoke to Radio Six about his feelings for Lazio, and the deciding game in the last round. "I think Lazio had an excellent season. There are four teams that did better than expected, and these are Napoli, Lazio, Palermo, and Udinese, but besides Napoli, Lazio did the best amongst those. Now of course having been high in the standings all season, laziali might feel bitter if they do not get the 4th place, but nothing is decided yet."
Then Oddo showed his feelings of love for Lazio as he was asked whether he played this last game, if he would be thinking about Lazio. "If I played this last game, yes I would be thinking about Lazio. I am a laziale, I love the colors, the fans, and I still have a good relationship with many of those at Formello. I have not discussed this with Nesta, but I think he will be thinking the same. Milan will take the game seriously. We know that all eyes will be on us."
While The Lazio's technical director Igli Tare is hoping about the profesionalism of AC Milan. Tare said that eventhough Milan have already became the champion of Serie A this season, but Milan should face Udinese in this last fixture with full power. Well, tonight will be the judgement day for Lazio to enter the Champions League championship. But, even Lazio finally fail to get the last ticket, I WILL NOT DISSAPOINTED! Lazio this season is much better than Lazio in the previous season. Lazio will still get one ticket to European League if they fail to get one ticket to Champions League. So, Laziale all over the world, be pride of Lazio this season!
